Romance, Women's and Literary Fiction
Cathy Cruise published her first book, A Hundred Weddings, in December 2016 through Possibilities Publishing Company. Her short fiction has appeared in American Fiction, Blue Mesa Review, New Virginia Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and Phoebe. Awards include a New Rivers Press American Fiction prize, for which she received a Pushcart nomination; honorable mention in Glimmer Train's Family Matters and Very Short Fiction contests; a Washington Independent Writers Award for Short Fiction; and a Thomas E. Coleman creative writing award. She received her MFA in creative writing from George Mason University and her BA in English from Radford University. She is co-author of the blog Write Despite, and works as an editor at the American Red Cross. She lives in Virginia with her family where she is at work on her second novel.
