JANET S. GRUNST
Before Janet began writing full time, she worked for Community Bible Study, an interdenominational and international ministry. In 2006, she and her husband retired to the historic triangle of Virginia (Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown). Janet is mother of two sons, and grandmother of eight.
Her debut novel, A Heart Set Free, set in pre-Revolutionary War Virginia was published in December of 2016. In May of 2017, A Heart Set Free won the Selah Award for Historical Romance.
A lifelong student of history, her love of writing fiction grew out of a desire to share stories that can communicate the truths of the Christian faith, as well as entertain, bring inspiration, healing, and hope to the reader.
2016 Selah Award winner, A Heart Set Free was her debut novel.
Her book a Heart for Freedom release October 2018.
Janet is also a contributor to Colonial Quills, a blog devoted to exploring life and stories in the Colonial period.
