Born and reared in Jackson, Mississippi. Went to Mississippi State U. and served in U.S.M.C. Lived, worked and went to graduate school, U. Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana. Lived and worked in the oil business for the past forty-plus years in Houston, Texas.
Married for 43 years to Marion Yarbrough, who recently was taken home by the Lord. One son, Douglas and daughter-in-law, Bianka Yarbrough who live in Log Cabin, Louisiana! Started writing for publication around 2004. Mostly just enjoyed writing. First novel. Mississippi Cotton, published by Wido Publishing, Salt Lake City, 2011. Second, A Mississippi Whisper, by Wido in 2014. Finished a third novel, not yet published. Several short stories and essays published by small-print mags and online publications which have been re-posted on website. Have, on occasion, spoken before groups or book clubs in Southern venues.
