Peggy Savage Baumgardner’s writing career began in the tenth grade of high school; she just did not know it. A short story assignment by her English teacher Jim Avey, became her first novel after retirement from local government, many years later. After completing her book, she contacted Mr. Avey. The Gaston Gazette and Fox News did a human interest story about the writer and her teacher. Mr. Avey told her that she had made him famous. She told him his new fame helped her sell books. The two became a team until his death in 2014. The infamous book is Andersons Survive the Civil War, then Seal it with a Kiss. She has since written two additional books, The Secret Sins of Their Preachers and EMMA Infamy & Ecstasy. Her fourth book, SHAKEDRA – Cloned Warrior will be released in 2017. She is also working on a series of children’s books titled “What is your story.”
