ROGER RAPEL
Crime

Picture
I left school at 15 with no formal qualifications. I went from job to job not really knowing what I wanted to do. Then after serving for 2 1/2 years in the merchant navy I joined the UK police where I stayed for 30 years, retiring as detective sergeant.

During my police career I investigated murders, rapes and child abuse, to name a few. The books I write have an element of truth about them but are fictionalised for obvious reasons.

I also try to make them interesting and a little bit spicy which reflects the real world. Also the central character is not the knight in shinning armour, he is hard working, likes the women and a good drink. Am I in there? I plead the fifth amendment.
