Sheila C. Ingle
Sheila Ingle is a native South Carolinian. She loves to tell the stories of South Carolina history. Her two grandmothers instilled in her a love of history and storytelling, which led her into membership in lineage societies. Her four books are for young readers about SC heroines during the Revolutionary War. The SCDAR awarded "Kate" a Historical Preservation Award. She enjoys leading writing workshops and speaking. TALES is for adults about Appalachian women who left the mountains to work in the cotton mills. It was chosen as 2017 Fall Okra Pick by SIBA and for their 2018 Long List,
A community volunteer, she enjoys baking and making strawberry and blackberry preserves. Married for thirty-eight years to John Ingle, they have one son Scott. Besides being avid readers, the South Carolina beaches are their favorite spots for vacations.
